OCR: Tao Yuan-ming and His Peach-Blossom Springs Tao Yuan-ming was one of the greatest pastoral poets and a noted recluse in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. He had written many poems, among which Peach-Blossom Springs was his masterpiece. In this lyric prose he described an unknown place so cut off from the rest of the world that all the in habitants entertained themselves with their wealthy lives and lived in great harmony and self-contentment. Later, people called the fictitious place described by Tao Yuan-ming as "the Land of Peach Blossoms" ( a haven of peace, away from the turmoil of the world).
